Massive GTA 6 Map Leak? Fans Think Rockstar Just Slipped Up
With nine months still to go until GTA 6 finally lands, fans are grabbing at every bit of info they can find. Rockstar has only shown off two trailers and a few screenshots so far, but that hasn’t stopped leaks and rumours from spreading online and keeping the hype alive.
We already know the game is set in Vice City and the wider state of Leonida, which takes inspiration from Florida.
Earlier this year, Rockstar even revealed a list of official areas that will appear in the game, including Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park.
But fans recently spotted something much more exciting, what looks like a sneak peek at GTA 6’s massive map. The discovery comes from a screenshot showing Brian Heder, one of the game’s characters, standing over a desk. On the desk lies a map, marked with circles and an X.

One Reddit user, who goes by the name NoDevelopment894, edited the image so the map could be seen face-on instead of at an angle. They shared it with the community, calling it “Brian Heder’s map, flat-ified.” The fan admitted the Photoshop job wasn’t perfect, saying “I did a subpar job at Photoshopping Brian’s map artwork (removed hand etc) to be more proportional and ‘head on’. What can I say… It looks like a map!”

Not everyone was convinced, though. Some pointed out that Rockstar’s artistic maps don’t always match what ends up in the game.
One user reminded people that “the artists take liberties with the stylised art. They don’t necessarily represent the actual in-game details. This is not from in-engine footage or a screenshot.”
Even the original poster admitted there might be problems, noticing “the disconnect of roads” when looking at the design. Others even suggested that the map could be from a completely different location, since Brian’s character is known to have access to planes.
For now, the truth remains a mystery. Rockstar is keeping its cards close to its chest, and fans will have to keep speculating until more official details arrive.
