McKenna Grace Freaks Out Discovering Scott Eastwood Starred in a Taylor Swift Video

On the set of Regretting You, McKenna Grace got a big surprise about her co-star Scott Eastwood. The 35-year-old actor had appeared in Taylor Swift’s music video for “Wildest Dreams,” and Grace had no idea.

In a recent interview with AP News, Dave Franco and Mason Thames talked about the moment.

They remembered watching the video together and realizing Scott was the love interest. “Scott, I don’t know if you know this, did anyone tell you that we all watched the ‘Wildest Dreams’ video on set?” Dave asked. Scott replied, “No.” Mason added, “I remember that! We all did.”

Dave explained how Grace reacted when she finally connected the dots. “McKenna didn’t realize that you were the guy. Like this is a video dear to her heart, and she put it together in the moment: Scott’s the guy from the ‘Wildest Dreams’ video,” he said. “She immediately called her mom. She goes, ‘Scott’s the guy.’ And we hear her mom through the phone go, ‘No!’ You have a place in a lot of people’s hearts with that video.”

Scott shared how the opportunity came about. “I’d never met Taylor Swift before. She called me out of the blue. She said, ‘Hey this is Taylor.’ I’m, like, Taylor who?” he recalled.

Mason Thames also chimed in about his first impression of Scott. “I told Scott this the first day I met him, that I thought, before I knew him, from years in advance: best-looking man I’ve ever seen.”
