MCU Announces Release Window and Episode Count for ‘Wonder Man’ Series
Marvel Studios has officially announced that Wonder Man, its upcoming Disney+ series, will debut in January 2026.
The show will feature eight episodes and will be part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, released under the “Marvel Spotlight” banner. A trailer for the series has also been revealed, giving fans their first look at the project.

The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man, a superpowered actor and stuntperson who lands a role in a superhero TV show.
He will be joined by Ben Kingsley reprising his role as Trevor Slattery, Demetrius Grosse as Simon’s brother Eric Williams / Grim Reaper, Ed Harris as Simon’s agent Neal Saroyan, and Arian Moayed as Department of Damage Control agent P. Cleary.
Several other actors, including Zlatko Burić, Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, Byron Bowers, Béchir Sylvain, and Manny McCord, have been cast in roles that have not yet been revealed.
The series is created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, with Guest serving as showrunner.
Cretton directed the first two episodes, while Stella Meghie, James Ponsoldt, and Tiffany Johnson also directed other episodes. Production began in April 2023 in Los Angeles but was briefly halted due to the Writers Guild of America strike. Filming resumed in early 2024 and wrapped by April.
