Megan Thee Stallion Rocks See-Through Barely-There Dress Supported Only by a Tiny String
Megan Thee Stallion is currently redefining the concept of a multi-hyphenate star by taking her undeniable stage presence to the prestigious boards of Broadway. Following her historic first performance in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” the Houston rapper made a triumphant exit from the Al Hirschfeld Theatre that was as visually arresting as her performance.
She stepped out into the New York night wearing a champagne-toned, semi-sheer mesh dress that used delicate shimmering sequins to create a hypnotic, aquatic-inspired scale pattern across her silhouette.
The gown, known as the “Genovia” dress by the luxury label Retrofête, featured a daring halter neckline and a hip-high slit that leaned into a bold “naked dress” aesthetic. To ground the ethereal look, she accessorized with metallic silver stilettos and a clear Alexis Bittar clutch that mimicked the appearance of sculpted ice.
Her beauty choices were equally impactful, consisting of a voluminous retro-style updo and a radiant makeup look that mirrored the high-glamour energy of the “Moulin Rouge” cabaret setting. This high-fashion moment served as a celebration of her record-breaking debut as Harold Zidler, the flamboyant proprietor of the show’s titular club.
By taking on the role, which she will perform through May 17, Megan has become the first female-identifying performer to ever portray the character in any production of the musical worldwide.
Fans who gathered outside the theater to offer flowers and praise were quick to celebrate her transition into musical theater, with many noting that her “Hot Girl” persona perfectly translates to the discipline of the stage.
Aside from her theatrical residency, the three-time Grammy winner has been significantly expanding her reach across the media landscape. She recently made a guest appearance on the NBC sitcom “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,” starring alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Tracy Morgan.
In the series, which premiered in February, she portrays a flirtatious postal worker named Denise, a role that allowed her to showcase the comedic timing she previously displayed during her stint hosting “Saturday Night Live.”
Musically, the rapper is in the midst of a productive streak, having recently released the single “B.B.B.” in collaboration with Juvenile. She has also teased that her third studio album, which she refers to as “Act III,” is slated for release later this year and will introduce yet another creative alter ego to her fans.
This follows a busy start to the year that saw her attending the Milan Cortina Winter Games and Milan Fashion Week, where she was a front-row fixture at the Roberto Cavalli show.
Between her historic Broadway run, her upcoming album, and her expansion into television, Megan Thee Stallion is entering a period of unprecedented creative autonomy that shows no signs of slowing down.
