Megaton Musashi: Anime Will Return With Season 2 In Fall 2022

Megaton Musashi is Level-5’s multi-media project that spawned an anime series, an RPG video game, toys, and comics. Anime premiered on October 1, 2021, and the video game was released for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on November 11.

Now, as the Megaton Musashi official website confirmed, the anime series will return with its second season in Fall 2022. You can check the synopsis of the anime below:

“In an ordinary town, there are people who live peaceful and fulfilling lives. But they don’t know that it is a false peace. The untold truth is … the earth has already been destroyed and 99.9% of the human race has been wiped out by a mysterious alien force from outer space called the “Dracters.” Eventually, a large hole was drilled in the earth and terraformed into a suitable environment for the aliens to live in. Humans have no choice but to hide in shelters to escape their watchful gaze. Waiting for the day of resurrection, which they do not know when it will come… The inhabitants of the shelter Ixia have had their memories of the day of destruction erased, and live a normal life in ignorant bliss. However, some of them, the “chosen ones,” have become pilots, driving giant robots called “Rogue” and fighting against the aliens. Akihiro Hino, CEO of Level-5 is the creator of the anime, as well as the writer. Shigeharu Takahashi is the director, while Takuzou Nagano and Yuuji Ikeda serve as character designers. The anime series stars Toshiki Masuda, Shunsuke Takeuchi, Souma Saitou, Kouki Uchiyama, Sumire Morohoshi, Megumi Han, Ayumu Murase, and Yuuki Kaji.

He calls them "the four rulers of the fantasy genre." He loves to write about anything spawned from those franchises (books, games, movies...), as well as anything branded with the Marvel or DC logo. Video games and their adaptations are also something he follows faithfully since he's a big fan of story-driven single-player games like Assassin's Creed, The Last of Us, Uncharted, etc. His favorite video game ever is Red Dead Redemption 2.
