According to court documents, the allegations involve a child actor who was seven years old at the time of the reported abuse.
Busfield has denied the claims, with his legal team arguing that the accusations are fabricated. Despite the severity of the charges, a judge granted him a conditional release on January 20, 2026, after his attorneys argued he was not a flight risk or a danger to the public.
