Few genre shows have built a cult following quite like ‘From’. Created by John Griffin, the sci-fi horror series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps everyone who enters, with ‘Lost’ star Harold Perrineau leading the cast.

The series has become a major success for MGM+. It is the most-watched series in the network’s history, and in April, MGM+ confirmed that the show’s upcoming fifth season would be its last.

Now, ‘From’ is set to reach a whole new audience. The show will begin streaming on Netflix in the US on Monday, October 19, What’s on Netflix reported, marking the first time the series has been available on the platform there.

The deal is part of a limited-time licensing window. Multiple seasons are expected to arrive at once, with the first 4 seasons set to drop next week. That gives new viewers the perfect opportunity to catch up before the final chapter. It also offers longtime fans a fresh way to revisit the show’s many mysteries.

‘From’ Season 5 entered production in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on July 6. Filming is scheduled to wrap on November 27, ahead of a 2027 premiere on MGM+. MGM+ announced the fifth and final season on April 15, just days before Season 4 debuted on April 19. The creative team said at the time that they were thrilled to officially begin work on the concluding season.

Michael Wright, global head of MGM+, said he had long looked forward to bringing the show’s epic conclusion to its passionate fans. He also called the series the pinnacle of what MGM+ aims to deliver.

Griffin executive produces the series alongside showrunner Jeff Pinkner, known for ‘Lost’, ‘Alias’ and ‘Fringe’. Director Jack Bender, whose credits include ‘Lost’ and ‘Game of Thrones’, also serves as an executive producer.

That ‘Lost’ connection has helped the show attract fans of puzzle-box storytelling. With each season, ‘From’ has deepened its mythology while delivering plenty of scares. The move to Netflix is notable given the show’s ownership. When Amazon bought MGM for $8.45 billion in 2021, many expected MGM’s library to gradually disappear from Netflix in favor of Prime Video.

Instead, Amazon MGM has developed a growing relationship with Netflix. Licensing ‘From’ suggests the companies see value in reaching broader audiences, especially before a final season launches. The show is produced by MGM+ Studios. Internationally, it is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Netflix has proven to be a powerful platform for giving shows a second life. Exposure to its massive US subscriber base could introduce ‘From’ to millions of new viewers. If the series catches on, it could build even more anticipation for its final season. MGM+ would likely benefit as new fans seek out the conclusion in 2027.

‘From’ arrives on Netflix in the US on October 19. With its eerie premise and growing fanbase, it could become one of the platform’s breakout additions this fall. For anyone who hasn’t yet visited the mysterious town, now is the ideal time to start. Just be prepared to stay up late trying to solve its secrets.

Are you excited for From to arrive on Netflix in the US ahead of its fifth and final season?
