You might not know that the Teen Titans debuted back in 1964, but the group has become popular only recently, thanks to some amazing comic book titles and the critically acclaimed animated series. We also had the goofy take on the group in Teen Titans Go!, which also became very popular.

The Teen Titans were supposed to join the DCEU at one point, and now that the DCU has taken over, their inclusion also seems like a sure thing based on the teases we have. Plus, the fans want it, yes.

Now, WB’s Michael De Luca has teased that not one, but two Teen Titans projects are in the works, a live-action one and an animated one!

The information was revealed during the latest episode of SmartLess, where Pam Abdy and De Luca talked to Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett:

As you can imagine, a lot of topics were covered in the talk – we’d recommend listening to the whole thing, it’s really fun – but the facts related to this article are that De Luca teased two major incoming Teen Titans projects.

“I think James Gunn and Peter Safran are working on a live-action Teen Titans, & a new Teen Titans Go I think actually, too,” he said during the talk. This is a major scoop coming from De Luca.

As said, a live-action iteration of the Teen Titans has been discussed for years, and it seems that the DCU might finally bring the beloved characters to the big screen, which would be great. Sadly, no details have been provided.

As for the animated project, we already know that Teen Titans Go! had a major theatrical release, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, which was a solid success, and it seems that the people at WB want to capitalize on that with another movie, which would certainly be great.

As for the details, they are scarce at the moment, but we will definitely keep following this story and will keep you up-to-date!
