‘Michael’ Star Laura Harrier Turns up the Heat in Milan With a Glossy Backless Gown
Milan Fashion Week is in full swing, and Laura Harrier is once again making the Italian fashion capital her personal runway. The Spring/Summer 2027 edition runs from September 22 to 28, with a calendar of 60 shows, 54 in person and 6 digital, according to the official schedule released by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
It’s a season packed with big moments. Prada opened the week on September 22, Maria Grazia Chiuri presented her second Fendi collection on September 23, and Sunnei founders Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo are set to debut as co-creative directors of Moschino on September 25. Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, and Giorgio Armani are also on the schedule.
Against that backdrop, Harrier has delivered one of the most eye-catching images of the week so far. New photos shared by Cinethology on X show the actress posing inside an ornate building with a sweeping glass-domed ceiling and painted frescoes, wearing a glossy, deep plum halter gown that leaves her back completely bare.
The high-shine column dress hugs her figure all the way to the floor, and she keeps the rest of the look minimal with her hair pulled into a sleek bun. In one shot, she glances over her shoulder at the camera, while in the other she leans on a railing to take in the view of the grand interior below.
The label behind the gown wasn’t immediately identified in the post.
This isn’t the first time Harrier has turned heads in the city. In February, she attended the Gucci Fall/Winter 2026 show at Palazzo delle Scintille, where Getty Images captured her arriving and leaving the event.
That same week, she stepped out for a dinner at Baretto celebrating Demna’s first Gucci runway show. Who What Wear reported that she wore pieces from his pre-fall 2026 collection, including black skinny jeans with a split hem, a cropped leather bomber jacket, and tall horsebit pumps, finished with the Jackie Slim Small Shoulder Bag.
Her Milan style history goes back further too. In 2024, she attended the opening of Swarovski’s “Masters of Light: From Vienna to Milan” exhibition in a silver chainmail Paco Rabanne dress with strands of diamonds draped across the waist.
Harrier has never shied away from bold choices. At Gucci’s Cruise 2027 show in Times Square on May 16, her ultra-short white turtleneck minidress sparked an online debate about its hemline, with fans on Reddit divided over the look.

Last October, she wore a black sequin Gucci by Demna gown to the Academy Museum Gala before changing into a sheer black Dolce & Gabbana dress with a corset bodice for Giorgio Armani’s after-party at Chateau Marmont. Who What Wear noted she has worked with stylist Danielle Goldberg for years.
Born in Chicago in 1990, Harrier began modeling at 17 after being discovered by a location scout and moved to New York City in 2007, where she was represented by agencies including IMG Models and Wilhelmina Models. That modeling background shows in how comfortably she commands a camera, whether on a red carpet or in a quiet moment like her latest Milan shoot.
With several more days of shows still to come, including Gucci’s spot on the Spring/Summer 2027 calendar, this glossy gown may not be the last standout look Harrier serves before Milan Fashion Week wraps.
