After her career-defining win for ‘Anora’, Mikey Madison largely stepped away from the spotlight. Few awards-season winners disappear from the red carpet as thoroughly as she did, with her public appearances mostly limited to Tiffany & Co. events and front-row seats at Dior. That changed this week, as Mikey Madison’s ‘The Social Reckoning’ press tour officially took off across Europe.

The film marks her first big-screen appearance since her Oscar-winning performance. Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, ‘The Social Reckoning’ follows the real-life story of Frances Haugen, played by Madison, a young Facebook engineer and whistleblower who enlists Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz, played by Jeremy Allen White, to reveal the truth about the social media giant.

After kicking off the tour in London, Madison headed to Paris for the film’s French premiere. Cinethology shared photos of the actress posing in front of the event’s backdrop on October 2, showing her in a striking black off-the-shoulder gown.

The dress was covered in delicate floral embroidery in shades of pink, lilac, and soft blue, scattered across a dark, shimmering base. Its fitted silhouette and gently cuffed neckline gave the look a romantic yet polished feel.

Madison kept the rest of her styling soft and elegant. She wore her long dark hair down in loose waves and accessorized with a sparkling diamond necklace, letting the floral details take center stage.

The Paris look offered a very different mood from her London appearance just days earlier. At the film’s gala screening at Curzon Mayfair on September 29, Madison wore a bright butter-yellow strapless gown from Standing Ground’s Fall 2026 couture collection.

That design featured a sculpted, bead-textured bodice and a crumb-catcher-style neckline with a small black accent for contrast. She paired it with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including the brand’s Bird on a Rock design, a fitting choice since she serves as a campaign star and ambassador for the jeweler.

Red Carpet Fashion Awards admitted it had fully expected Madison to wear Dior for her first major premiere back, making the Standing Ground choice a genuine surprise. The London-based label, founded by Irish designer Michael Stewart, debuted that collection during Paris Couture Week in July.

The project has been generating buzz since it was first announced. Sony described the film as a companion piece to 2010’s ‘The Social Network’ rather than a direct sequel, with Jeremy Strong taking over the role of Mark Zuckerberg. The original film was a major success, grossing over $226 million and earning 8 Oscar nominations. That gives Sorkin’s follow-up a lot to live up to.

The supporting cast includes Betty Gilpin, Wunmi Mosaku, and Billy Magnussen. The film is produced by Columbia Pictures and Escape Artists and was filmed in San Francisco. ‘The Social Reckoning’ arrives exclusively in theaters on October 9 in both the U.S. and the UK. It is rated R for language.

For Madison, the stakes feel especially high. As her first major role since ‘Anora’, the film’s reception will be watched closely by fans eager to see what the Oscar winner does next. With London and Paris premieres now behind her, Madison has made it clear she’s ready to step back into the spotlight in style.
