Mikey Madison’s Glittering Vivienne Westwood Gown Caps a Fearless ‘The Social Reckoning’ Press Tour
Mikey Madison has turned the premiere tour for ‘The Social Reckoning’ into one of the most exciting fashion runs of the season. Working with stylist Andrew Mukamal, the ‘Anora’ Oscar winner has made a point of never repeating the same version of herself from one city to the next.
Her European stops set a high bar. In London on September 29, she wore a butter-yellow couture gown from the London-based label Standing Ground, then switched to an embroidered floral Dior couture gown from Jonathan Anderson’s Spring 2026 collection for the Paris premiere on October 1.
For the film’s world premiere at Regal Union Square in New York City on Sunday, October 4, Madison went bolder still. New Getty photos show the actress in a shimmering, strapless Vivienne Westwood gown, a fresh direction that fashion watchers are calling one of her strongest looks yet.
The gown showcased the British label’s signature corsetry with a modern twist. Its structured, sculpted bodice gave way to a fitted silhouette covered in intricate silver beading that caught the light from every angle.

The design also leaned into a semi-sheer finish, with a black bustier-style bodysuit beneath the glittering fabric. W Magazine described it as a twist on Westwood’s corsetry that pushed the look into bolder territory, while My Face Hunter noted that subtle pinstripes kept the dramatic silhouette sleek.
Madison finished the look with Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. jewelry and an Old Hollywood side part. Her long dark hair flowed loose, keeping the focus firmly on the gown. Fashion critics have been impressed by how different each premiere look has felt. Red Carpet Fashion Awards said it never grows tired of seeing Westwood gowns on the red carpet, praising the confidence and sensuality of the silhouette on Madison.

The site also highlighted what makes the whole press tour stand out. Rather than repeating one prescribed version of the actress, each premiere has offered something new. That approach suits a star who has largely stayed out of the spotlight since her Oscar win. Each appearance now feels like a carefully chosen statement.
The New York premiere was memorable for more than fashion. Madison and co-star Jeremy Allen White posed alongside the real people they portray, Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen and Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz.

Betty Gilpin was also among the stars on the red carpet. The film’s cast includes Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg, along with Wunmi Mosaku, Billy Magnussen and Bill Burr. Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, ‘The Social Reckoning’ serves as a companion piece to ‘The Social Network’. It dramatizes the real-life 2021 Facebook whistleblower leak and the investigation that exposed internal company documents to the public.

Madison plays Haugen, the data engineer who teams up with Horwitz to reveal the company’s practices. The film opens in theaters on October 9. With the premiere tour now complete, Madison has delivered a run of looks that rival the buzz around the movie itself. Fans will soon find out whether her performance makes just as strong an impression.
