Miley Cyrus Teases Something Big for the 20th Anniversary of ‘Hannah Montana’
Miley Cyrus is already thinking ahead as the hit Disney Channel show Hannah Montana gets closer to a major milestone.
The singer and actress spoke briefly about the show’s upcoming 20th anniversary while attending the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards earlier this month. She was asked about the anniversary during a red carpet chat with Variety reporter Marc Malkin. Instead of giving details, Cyrus gave a playful hint. “You see the bangs,” she said, pointing to her hairstyle and smiling.
Cyrus was at the event to accept the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award for her song Dream As One, which appears in James Cameron’s new film Avatar: Fire and Ash. For the night, she wore a black suit by Tom Ford with a deep neckline. While the outfit was bold and modern, her hair brought back memories of her Disney days. Fans quickly noticed the soft blonde waves and bangs that reminded many of her Hannah Montana look.

When pressed for more details about how she plans to mark the anniversary, Cyrus kept things vague. She told Variety, “We’re working hard on ’em,” but did not share anything else. She stayed tight-lipped as cameras flashed and photographers called out.
Even without clear answers, it is clear the anniversary means a lot to her. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Cyrus spoke about her fans and how much they matter to her. “I want the fans to really feel seen,” she said. “They know that I appreciate them, but I also see their growth.” She added that while people often talk about how much she has changed, she feels her fans have grown just as much.
Hannah Montana first aired in 2006 and ran for five years. The show helped turn Cyrus into a global star and still has a strong fan base today. As the 20th anniversary approaches, fans are now waiting to see what Cyrus and her team have planned.
