‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” Season 2 Release Date Announced Alongside New Teaser
Apple TV has announced that the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will premiere on Friday, February 27, 2026.
The new season will have ten episodes, with the first episode dropping on the premiere date and a new episode released every Friday until May 1. Along with the release date, the streamer shared a teaser trailer and a first-look image.
Season one followed two siblings as they tried to uncover their family’s ties to a secret group called Monarch.
Their search led them into the world of monsters and connected them with Army officer Lee Shaw, played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell. The story jumps between the 1950s and fifty years later, showing how Monarch faces danger from what Shaw knows.
Kurt Russell will return as Lee Shaw in season two. His fate was left uncertain at the end of season one when the older Lee stayed behind to fix a portal that would help the crew get back to Earth. Unfortunately, Lee fell off the Monarch ship and was sucked into the Hollow Earth as the crew returned.
