‘Monster Hunter Wilds’ Announces Special ‘Street Fighter 6’ Collaboration with Awesome Trailer

Released in late February, Monster Hunter Wilds became an absolute hit. The game received positive reactions and it sold so many copies that we can already confirm it as a major hit of 2025, which made us quite happy.

We have been reporting on the game and its new content, and we can now confirm that a batch of new content is coming soon and this time, it is a very special collaboration that a lot of fans will enjoy.

Capcom has decided to blend two of its major franchises in one special collaboration, as the Street Fighter franchise is coming to Monster Hunter Wilds, and it is going to be an absolute blast!

Before we reveal more details, here is the official trailer:

As you can see, this is going to be a pretty dynamic crossover, as both franchises are action-packed, so we can expect a very explosive set of events. The most important thing you need to know is that Akuma — a demon of combat that has welcomed the Satsui no Hado into his being in his quest to become the ultimate master of the fist — is making his way over to Monster Hunter Wilds, and he brings with him a lot of new features.

The collaboration will feature a new side mission called Ultimate Strength (available for hunters at HR 21 or higher; to activate it, you will need to talk to Quinn, the Vespae Unit handler, at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp), which will feature Akuma, as well as collab arena quests Demonic Strength and True Strength, all of which are going to bring special rewards.

The known rewards will include:

• “Akuma” hunter full armor set and layered equipment
• “Blanka-Chan” Palico full armor set and layered equipment
• Hunter Profile background, nameplate, and pose

The collaboration will also include several paid DLC packs, as opposed to the main one, which will be free and will remain in the game permanently once you get it with the new update. As for the date, the content is coming on May 28, 2025, so very soon!
