The Top 10 Most Hated MCU Characters, Ranked

Over the years, the MCU has provided us with a plethora of characters, thousands of them if we count the supporting characters and extras. The universe created by Marvel Studios is still the largest single-narrative cinematic universe, and, as you might assume, it will keep expanding until the very end.
The MCU is, indeed, something special, and as far as the characters are concerned, we have been treated to a series of brilliant stories and interpretations, which is why this report is going to be dedicated to the characters. But with a twist!
Namely, in this article, we are going to bring you a list of 10 MCU characters, not the most popular or strongest ones, but rather the most hated MCU characters of all time as they appeared in different shows and movies.
Some of them will be more important, some less, but we will provide you with an explanation as to why each of them ended up on this list.
10. Gorr
Unlike his comic book counterpart, the MCU was hated by almost everyone, including Christian Bale himself. Marvel effectively ruined one of its best villains in recent years, both visually and narratively.
In the comics, Gorr was a feared and dreadful villain, a major threat to the whole universe, whereas, in the movies, he was just one of many villains that were executed poorly and wasted in the MCU’s worst run of films.
9. Jane Foster
While continuing to discuss the Thor movies, we have to mention Jane Foster as well. The character wasn’t executed properly, and even her appearance as Thor in Love and Thunder was not well-received by the fans. She didn’t do anything in particular, and Natalie Portman is a popular actress, but Jane Foster never really sat right with the fans.
8. Star-Lord
The guy is effectively blamed for everything that happened at the end of the Infinity Saga, and that is simply due to poor writing. He isn’t really half bad, and Chris Pratt’s interpretation was good and funny, but the fans still hate him because they keep blaming him for what happened, so you can actually understand why he ended up on this list, although his overall mark on the MCU doesn’t really merit that, but who are we to judge?
7. Sersi
We could’ve put almost all the Eternals cast members on this list, but the one the fans hate the most is definitely Sersi, and we can understand why.
The character was depicted as a heroine and a savior, yet her portrayal was horribly executed, as she left the impression of a cold and detached character with no real emotions, a character that gave us no reason to love her, yet the film kept pushing her in the spotlight despite that.
6. Korg
The character everyone loved in Ragnarok became one of the most annoying characters in Love and Thunder. He was too often on the screen, yet his role was completely insignificant, and he did not even provide effective comic relief, which he should have done, seeing what his main role in the story was. And that is why the fans started to hate him.
5. Bill Maher
Okay, to be fair, the guy appeared in one deleted scene from Iron Man 3, but his critiques of comic book culture post-filming made him a very hated personality among MCU fans. And yes, Bill Maher is a personality who is controversial regardless of his role in the MCU, but that only contributed to him ending up so high on this list, despite the fact that his appearance in the MCU was insignificant.
4. Megan Thee Stallion
Well, if you remember the twerking scene from She-Hulk, you’ll know why Megan Thee Stallion is on this list; she appeared as herself, by the way. Was that scene completely off? Yes. Did it deserve all the hate it got? Not even close. But, the fans seem to think the singer is to blame because she is often mentioned on such lists, and that is why we had to put her on this one as well.
3. John Walker
When this guy appeared, he was universally hated for a number of reasons. First of all, he was supposed to be Captain America but was a cartoon-style fake. Secondly, he was incompetent, yet he acted as if he were the best in the world. Thirdly, he was a corrupt and narcissistic moron with a horrible personality.
And yes, he got his redemption by the time The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was over, but he is still one of the most hated characters and for a good reason.
2. Elon Musk
Arguably the biggest liar of our generation and one of the biggest liars and hypocrites in history, Elon Musk had a brief cameo in the MCU when he was more or less reasonable; but, as you know, that changed and now he is waging fictional wars against Disney and woke and whatever, so it is understandable that the fans hate him.
1. Bill O’Reilly
And, of course, the top of the list goes to Bill O’Reilly. This conservative commentator ended up with a cameo in the MCU, but he was as loathsome there as he is in real life, so, yeah, he takes first place here without a doubt. Why? Well, simply because he is Bill O’Reilly – nothing further needs to be added here.
