We are in the year in which The Lord of the Rings franchise is set to make its big return thanks to Amazon Prime Video and its upcoming epic TV show The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Ever since the series was announced, fans all over the world were intrigued, especially after Amazon revealed that they’re already planning five seasons and that The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, is set to be the most expensive TV show ever filmed.

Prime Video kept the whole production and plot details under wraps. The production took place in New Zealand last year, with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director J.A. Bayona directing the first two episodes. The list of cast members was officially revealed, although for most of the actors it wasn’t announced which character they’ll be playing. One of the exceptions is Morfydd Clark, who will play Galadriel, one of the greatest Elves in Middle-earth, who was played by Cate Blanchett in Peter Jackson’s original trilogy.

Although we don’t know for most of the announced actors which characters they will play, Prime Video now officially revealed dozen of character posters which we can say are the first look at the characters, although we can’t see their faces on any of them. We can only take a guess which character is which and which actor or actress might be playing them.

You can check all the official character posters below:

The revealed character posters mostly reveal only characters’ outfits, and some of them look really intriguing. Prime Video recently revealed the first look on the series’ title, but we are still waiting for the official teaser, trailer, or some other kind of first look footage on the series itself.
