Natasha Liu Bordizzo Shares New Behind-the-Scenes Photo from ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2

The Star Wars universe is expanding again with the second season of Ahsoka, and excitement among fans is already building.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren in the Disney+ series, recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set.

She captioned it, “and as for this journey…. it only gets more epic.” The post quickly spread among fans, giving a small but thrilling glimpse at the next chapter in the story.

Season 2 of Ahsoka continues the adventures of Ahsoka Tano and her apprentice Sabine Wren after the events of Return of the Jedi. The story takes place in the same timeline as The Mandalorian and follows the pair as they face new challenges in another galaxy. Meanwhile, Grand Admiral Thrawn leads what’s left of the Galactic Empire, threatening the fragile peace of the New Republic.

The series stars Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, returning from her appearance in The Mandalorian. Alongside her and Bordizzo are Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno, Eman Esfandi, Hayden Christensen, and Rory McCann.

Christensen returns once again as Anakin Skywalker, while McCann steps into the role of Baylan Skoll, following the passing of Ray Stevenson.

Dave Filoni, known for his deep involvement in the Star Wars universe, returns as showrunner and writer for all eight episodes.

He chose to focus on continuing Ahsoka’s story instead of moving straight into the planned crossover film connecting the other live-action Star Wars shows. Bryce Dallas Howard directed two episodes of the upcoming season.

Filming for Season 2 started in April in the United Kingdom and wrapped in late September, according to reports from production sources. The new season, produced by Lucasfilm and Golem Creations, will include eight episodes and will premiere exclusively on Disney+.

Fans can also look forward to appearances from other well-known Star Wars characters, including Huyang, Thrawn, Chopper, Admiral Ackbar, and Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios, connecting even more threads of the larger Star Wars story.
