Natasha Lyonne’s Role in ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Is Finally Revealed
Natasha Lyonne is stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new way with The Fantastic Four: First Steps. She will play a brand-new character named Rachel Rozman. Fans might recognize Lyonne’s voice from the Marvel animated series What If…?, where she played Byrdie the Duck in its third season.
Rachel Rozman will apparently have a connection to Ben Grimm in the upcoming movie; she’s introduced as a teacher on Yancy Street.
Lyonne, known for her role in Russian Doll, recently shared some thoughts about her part in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
She called the film “extraordinary” but didn’t give away much about her character. In an interview, she explained why Marvel is keeping her role a secret, saying, “I guess so! I’m just trying to kind of honor the ways of the Marvel, but I’m very excited about it, and the movie is extraordinary. I think people are going to love it, and I’m so proud to be a part of it.”
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the latest reboot of the beloved superhero team, set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. It’s the 37th film in the MCU and kicks off Phase Six.
Directed by Matt Shakman, the movie features a strong cast including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Fantastic Four.
The story takes place in an alternate 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic universe called Earth-828. In this world, the Fantastic Four face a huge threat from the cosmic villain Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer, played by Ralph Ineson.
The film had its world premiere at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles on July 21, 2025. Fans are excited not only for this movie but also for the sequel already in development.
Natasha Lyonne’s addition to the cast brings fresh energy and mystery, as Marvel continues to build its new take on the Fantastic Four saga.
With her keeping details under wraps, fans will have to wait and see exactly how Rachel Rozman fits into this exciting story.
