Netflix Adds Four New Shows This Week, Including a 98% Rotten Tomatoes Hit
Netflix is adding a new batch of films and series this week, and one of the main highlights is the return of the popular series BEEF. The update comes from Netflix’s latest schedule of upcoming releases.
The platform continues to release new content almost every day, making it hard for viewers to keep up. This week’s lineup includes four titles arriving between April 15 and April 17, covering reality competition, drama, documentary, and comedy.
The first release is Million Dollar Secret season two, arriving on April 15. The show brings back its game format where a group of strangers tries to uncover which one of them is secretly holding a one-million-dollar prize. The host is Peter Serafinowicz. The first season was well received and holds an 83% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
On April 16, Netflix will release the new version of BEEF. The original series became a major hit and earned strong critical praise, including a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It starred Ali Wong and Steven Yeun and quickly became one of the platform’s most talked-about shows.
The new season does not continue the original story. Instead, BEEF now works as an anthology. That means it introduces a new cast and a new storyline. The new lead actors include Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny.
The plot is set inside a high-end country club. It follows two young employees who record a serious argument between their boss and his wife. That recording leads to a chain of blackmail and conflict that grows more dangerous over time.
The final two releases arrive on April 17. One is A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough, a documentary narrated by the famous natural historian David Attenborough. The film focuses on his real-life encounters with mountain gorillas, including emotional moments from his early work in Rwanda. One key part of the story is his experience with a young gorilla named Pablo, which was filmed decades ago.
Also arriving on the same day is Roommates, a comedy film starring Sadie Sandler. The story follows two young women, Devon and Celeste, whose friendship slowly breaks down after they become roommates. What starts as a normal living situation turns into constant tension between them.
Together, the week’s releases show a mix of genres, from competition reality and dark drama to nature storytelling and light comedy. The biggest attention is on BEEF, which returns with a completely new cast and storyline after its highly rated first season.
