The ‘Collision Course’ cast brings together a group of established Spanish screen actors for a thriller that premieres worldwide on Netflix on October 30. The film is directed by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo and stars Laia Costa, Karra Elejalde, Luis Zahera, Tamar Novas, Álvaro Cervantes and Lluís Homar.

The story is set at the height of the financial crisis and begins when a group of robbers storms a bank in Madrid, which turns into a game of deception, fear and survival. It is the first thriller for Sánchez Arévalo, and in a statement published by Netflix, the director said he agreed to the genre change without hesitation and called his six leads a dream team.

Laia Costa plays Carla, according to the official first look images, and the film is her first Netflix project. Netflix lists ‘Lullaby’ and ‘One Love’ among her credits.

She is best known for films such as ‘Victoria’, ‘Un Amor’, ‘Lullaby’ and ‘Only You’. The romantic drama ‘Duck Butter’, which stars her, is already available on the platform. Viewers who want a sense of her range before the premiere have a place to start.

Costa appears in the first look images opposite both Karra Elejalde and Lluís Homar. AceShowbiz also counts her among the Goya Award winners in the lineup. Those pairings suggest her character sits near the center of the film’s shifting loyalties.

Karra Elejalde

Karra Elejalde appears as Pedro in the first look images. Netflix points to ‘Spanish Affair’ and ‘While at War’ among his earlier credits.

He has already worked on a few Netflix projects, including ‘Below Zero’, ‘100 Meters’ and ‘The Little Switzerland’. He will also star in the upcoming Spanish drama film ‘The Child’. That makes him one of the more familiar faces on the platform in this ensemble.

Elejalde is pictured alongside Costa and also alongside Luis Zahera in separate stills. Those images hint that Pedro crosses paths with several of the other central characters. The studio has not said what that connection means for the plot.

Luis Zahera

Luis Zahera is identified as Ernesto in the first look images. Netflix lists ‘The Beasts’ and ‘Animal’ among his credits.

AceShowbiz includes Zahera among the Goya Award winners in the cast. Serie News also describes the film as led by a cast of Goya winners. The recognition adds weight to a lineup that already has plenty of experience.

He appears in solo images and in a shared still with Elejalde. The pairing of Ernesto and Pedro is one of the few relationships the promotional material makes visible. Further detail on how those two men connect is likely to wait for the film itself.

Tamar Novas

Tamar Novas plays Tomás, and he is shown in several images, including one beside Álvaro Cervantes. His earlier credits include ‘The Sea Inside’ and ‘Gangs of Galicia’.

Novas has an extensive list of Netflix titles, including ‘Gangs of Galicia’, ‘Nowhere’, ‘Elisa & Marcela’, ‘The Mess You Leave Behind’, ‘High Seas’ and ‘1000 Miles From Christmas’. Few actors in the ensemble have a longer history with the service.

His frequent appearance in the stills suggests Tomás carries real narrative weight. Netflix describes the film as a thriller in which no one is quite who they appear to be, which makes every character worth watching closely.

Álvaro Cervantes

Álvaro Cervantes plays Raúl, according to the official first look images. Netflix highlights ‘Deaf’ and ‘Crazy About Her’ among his credits.

He has starred in an extensive number of Netflix titles, including ‘The Time It Takes’, ‘Criminal: Spain’, ‘Love at First Kiss’, ‘Drug Squad: Costa del Sol’, ‘Adú’ and ‘Crazy About Her’. That track record makes him a natural fit for a film built for a global streaming audience.

The wider cast also includes Lluís Homar, Jorge Cabrera, Alba Fontecha, Ismael Martínez and Imma Sancho. Federico Jusid and Lorenzo Perelmuter are scoring the film, which Bambú Producciones produced. With so many seasoned names sharing the screen, which of these characters do you expect to be hiding the biggest secret once the Madrid robbery begins to unravel?
