Netflix Confirms Live-Action ‘One Piece’ Season 2 Release for 2026, Reveals First Full Look at Chopper

Even if you’re not a fan of manga and anime, you probably know about One Piece, as it is one of the most popular pop culture works of all time. And while the franchise is as popular as it is, Netflix’s recent live-action adaptation helped even more.
The first season of the series was a major global hit and if further increased the popularity of Eiichiro Oda’s epic manga series. Work on the second season has ended, and Netflix has revealed some information about the upcoming season of the show.
Namely, we can tell you that Netflix has confirmed that the second season is coming in 2026, which is good to know, despite the fact that we don’t have any precise information, but the streaming giant has also revealed the first full look at a major character, who is set to debut in Season 2.
As you know, the upcoming second season is going to dive deeper into the lore of Oda’s story and it is going to introduce us to the land of Alabasta, as well as some new characters. Among them is Tony Tony Chopper, the crew’s doctor who has a prominent role in the anime.
We knew that Chopper would debut in Season 2 and Netflix has now revealed the first full look at the character in this adorable teaser:
Chopper is voiced by Mikaela Hoover, who is also going to appear in James Gunn’s Superman later this year, and based on this short teaser, Netflix has done a great job with the casting of Tony Tony Chopper.
“What excited me about playing Chopper is the tug of war between his standoffishness and his huge heart. He tries so hard to hide his emotions and put on a tough exterior, but underneath, he’s a big softy, and his love can’t help but come out. I believe there is a little Chopper in all of us. We all want to be loved and accepted. We go to great lengths to keep the people that we love safe. There’s a purity to his nature that reminds us of what’s good in the world,” Hoover said about playing the character.
As said, One Piece Season 2 premieres in 2026. Until then, be sure to keep following us for more updates!
