Netflix Drops Intense Trailer for “The Asset,” a Gritty Undercover Crime Drama
Crime and thriller fans have a new reason to get excited. Netflix has released the trailer for The Asset, a gripping Danish-language spy series set to premiere globally on October 27. The show promises high-stakes drama, with plenty of twists and moral dilemmas for viewers to sink their teeth into.
The series follows agent Tea, played by Clara Dessau, as she goes undercover in a dangerous criminal empire.
Posing as a jeweller, Tea’s mission is to get close to Ashley, the girlfriend of the mob boss at the heart of the organization. But as Tea navigates this dark world, she begins to question her loyalties.
Netflix explains that The Asset explores the fine line between good and evil: “But as Tea gets closer to Ashley and witnesses the grim reality of her life within Miran’s controlling and criminal cobweb, doubts emerge about where her loyalties truly lie.”
A young agent goes undercover to befriend a drug smuggler’s wife. But the closer she gets to her target, the more complicated her mission becomes.

Originally titled Legenden in Danish, the six-part thriller delves into themes of identity, loyalty, and the moral cost of undercover work.
The show’s conceptual director, Samanou Acheche Sahlstrøm, told Netflix that she wanted the series to focus on character development and relationships: “I was drawn to tell this story because it explores the complexities of identity and loyalty under extreme pressure. Through Tea’s journey, we see how far someone is willing to go to do what they believe is right – also, when the lines between good and evil become blurred.”
Alongside Dessau, the cast features Maria Cordsen, Afshin Firouzi, Nicolas Bro, Soheil Bavi, Arian Kashef, and Lara Ly Melic Skovgaard.
With the trailer now out, audiences can get their first look at the suspenseful world of The Asset and its tense undercover operations. Set just in time for Halloween, the series looks like a must-watch for fans of crime thrillers and dark spy dramas.
