Netflix Fans Get First Look at ‘One Piece’ Season 2’s Most Emotional Character in a New Trailer
Netflix has released a new teaser for One Piece Season 2, giving fans their first look at one of the series’ most emotional characters. The upcoming season, titled ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line, is set to premiere on March 10, 2026, and promises bigger adventures and more dangerous enemies for Luffy and the Straw Hats.
The latest teaser is short, around 30 seconds, but it highlights Dr. Hiriluk, a character central to Tony Tony Chopper’s backstory. Played by Mark Harelik, Dr. Hiriluk’s appearance in the clip is faithful to his anime and manga portrayal. His story is expected to bring some of the season’s most tragic and emotional moments, showing just how important he is in shaping Chopper’s journey.

Tony Tony Chopper will also join the crew as a key new member. The teaser hints that his addition will have a strong impact on the team and the story. Fans have already seen glimpses of other returning and debuting characters in previous trailers, including Robin, Smoker, Vivi, the Giants, and Laboon.
Season 2 will follow the Straw Hats as they enter the Grand Line, a legendary and dangerous stretch of sea filled with strange islands and powerful foes. “The place that we were talking about all of Season 1, we’re in it now,” said co-showrunner and executive producer Matt Owens.
He also confirmed that Dr. Kureha will play a big role in the new season. “When the Season 2 writers’ room got together, we knew how far we were going to get and that this character Dr. Kureha was going to be a big part of the season,” Owens said.
The new teaser suggests that Season 2 will continue to blend adventure, humor, and heartfelt moments while bringing more of the manga’s iconic characters to life. Fans can expect action, emotional depth, and the rich world-building that One Piece is known for.
