Netflix is bringing a little cosmic magic to its platform with a brand-new astrology hub. The streaming giant isn’t asking for your birthday just yet, but it is rolling out a feature called Your Zodiac Watchlist, designed to recommend movies and TV shows based on each astrological sign.

According to a Netflix spokesperson, the feature will go live on subscriber homepages this Saturday, just in time for the start of Virgo season. The hub will update throughout the year to match the zodiac calendar, keeping the content fresh and relevant.

“At Netflix, our team of curators on the member experience team create these themed collections to help members discover something fresh, fun and timely,” the company said in a statement to the press.

The recommendations are tailored to what each sign is “known” for. Scorpios, described as “passionate, charismatic, seductive and mysterious,” will see suggestions for mysteries like Wednesday and The Night Agent.

Geminis, who are supposedly “social, playful and funny,” will get pitched stand-up specials and shows with lots of chatter and energy. Leos, considered “confident, generous and loyal,” will see content about royalty and leadership, such as The Crown and Bridgerton.

Some signs get the more unusual recommendations. Aquarius, labeled “oddballs, quirky, outsiders,” will see picks like Rebel Moon, which focuses on aliens, sci-fi, and space, basically assuming they enjoy the strange and unusual.

Netflix clarified that subscribers don’t need to provide their zodiac sign or birthday to use the hub. Everyone can explore the suggestions for all 12 signs and decide what catches their eye.

Astrology has been enjoying a surge in popularity, especially with Gen Z, who are flocking to horoscopes on TikTok and astrology apps. Netflix seems to be leaning into that trend with this playful hub, which is part of a broader effort to make content discovery more fun and topical.

The streamer has recently launched other creative hubs, like Hope They Don’t End Up on the Kiss Cam, filled with steamy dramas inspired by the Coldplay concert incident, and Can I Pull You for a Chat?, inspired by the summer’s Love Island craze, even though that show airs on Peacock.

The astrology hub is live for preview now, and fans can browse content tailored to their signs, or just explore everyone else’s recommendations for fun.

With this new addition, Netflix continues to experiment with ways to help subscribers find content they might not otherwise watch, adding a mix of entertainment and a little cosmic guidance along the way.
