Netflix Released First Teaser For ‘Resident Evil’ TV Series

Popular horror media franchise Resident Evil just recently returned to the big screen with the newest movie Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which now plays in theaters. Still, fans of this popular video game series will soon get a new adaptation. Netflix is preparing a TV series Resident Evil, and today we got the first teaser.

Netflix Resident Evil series is set to debut on the streamer in 2022. While we are still waiting for the exact release date, Netflix decided that now is the good time to start promoting the show, while fans are still fresh after watching the newest Sony movie. What’s interesting, Netflix posted this teaser on their official account but deleted it soon after. Still, the teaser was saved by some other accounts, and we can check it out here:

This 10-second teaser didn’t show much, only Cerberus, also known as the Zombie Dog walking towards the camera, and showing the rotten side of his face once he got closer. Then, we just see the title. Not much, but this could mean that the series will try to stay faithful to the original games, for which the newest movie was also praised, despite generally mixed reviews. Interestingly, the pilot episode of the Netflix series will be called Welcome to New Raccoon City.

When the Wesker kids move to New Raccoon City, the secrets they uncover might just be the end of everything. Resident Evil, a new live action series based on Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise, is coming to Netflix.
