Netflix Reveals 2026 Film Lineup With ‘War Machine’ Release Date and First Look at ‘Enola Holmes 3’
Netflix has shared new details about its movie plans for 2026. The update was released on Wednesday and includes release dates, casting news, and first-look images. The information comes directly from Netflix.
One of the biggest titles on the list is War Machine. The sci-fi action movie stars Alan Ritchson and is set to arrive on March 6. The story takes place during a final training test for U.S. Army Rangers. What starts as an exercise quickly turns dangerous when the group faces a serious and unexpected threat. The movie is directed by Patrick Hughes, who also helped write and produce it.
Another film getting a release date is Remarkably Bright Creatures, which will premiere on May 8. The movie is based on the popular novel by Shelby Van Pelt. It follows Tova, played by Sally Field, a widow who works at an aquarium.
She forms a surprising bond with Marcellus, a giant octopus. Unbeknownst to Tova, Marcellus is on a mission to solve a mystery that will heal the widow’s heart and lead her to a life-changing discovery. The film is directed by Olivia Newman and also stars Lewis Pullman and Colm Meaney.
Netflix also announced that Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip will debut on February 13. Perry wrote, directed, produced, and stars in the film. He plays Joe, who takes a young man named B.J., played by Jermaine Harris, on a road trip to visit colleges. The trip becomes tense at times but ends up teaching both of them important lessons. This movie is one of three Tyler Perry projects planned for Netflix, though the other two do not yet have release dates.
The streaming service also shared updates on its animated movie Swapped. The film has added Tracy Morgan and Cedric the Entertainer to the voice cast. Morgan voices a fish named Boogle. The story centers on two natural enemies, a woodland creature voiced by Michael B. Jordan and a bird voiced by Juno Temple, who suddenly switch bodies and are forced to work together to survive.
Fans also got their first look at Enola Holmes 3. Netflix released early images from the new movie, which continues the detective story led by Millie Bobby Brown and based on the books by Nancy Springer. New images were also shared from the comedy Little Brother, starring John Cena and Eric André.
