Netflix Reveals Two Stunning Filming Locations for Season 6 of ‘Emily in Paris’
Emily in Paris is heading to two new filming locations for its upcoming sixth season. Netflix confirmed that production will begin in May 2026, and this time the story will expand beyond its usual European settings.
According to Netflix and reports first shared by Variety and PEOPLE, the new season will be filmed in Greece and Monaco. These locations are being added to the show’s long list of international backdrops, which already includes Paris, Rome, Venice, Saint-Tropez, and Megève.
The show has become one of Netflix’s most popular romantic comedies. Season 5 was a major success, reaching about 26.8 million views worldwide in just 11 days. It also ranked in the top 10 in 91 countries and reached number one in 24 of them, including France.
The series follows Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, an American marketing worker who moves to Paris for a job and ends up dealing with work pressure, love problems, and cultural differences.
While Netflix has not shared full story details for season 6, the new filming locations give some clues about what viewers might expect. At the end of season 5, Emily’s love life was left in a complicated place, with hints that her story could move between different cities.
Creator Darren Star has previously described the show as a story that keeps expanding. In an interview with Tudum, he said, “This season is a tale of two cities. Rome and Paris.” He also added, “Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level.”
Cast member Ashley Park, who plays Mindy, has also spoken about filming in multiple European cities, calling it a rare and special experience. She described working in different locations as something that felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The series also includes actors like Lucas Bravo and others who return as part of Emily’s social and romantic circle in Paris.
Emily in Paris first launched in 2020 and has grown season by season, expanding its filming locations and global audience. It is produced by Netflix and created by Darren Star, known for other popular TV dramas.
Moving the show to Greece and Monaco is a smart choice because it keeps the story fresh and visually interesting. The series has always relied on beautiful locations as part of its appeal. What do you think about this change in setting? Do you like the idea of Emily traveling even more, or should the story stay in one place? Share your thoughts in the comments.
