She is joined by Alijah Kai as Rashida Duvall, a first generation criminal justice major, Cornell Young IV as Shaquille Johnson, a five star athlete choosing legacy, Jordan Aaron Hall as Amir Rodale, a sharp psych major better at fixing everyone else’s problems than facing his own, Kennedi Reece as Hazel Henry, a church raised small town girl defining her own values, and Chibuikem Uche as Kojo Achebe, a Ghanaian Nigerian fashion entrepreneur finding the courage to follow his vision.

Rounding out the ensemble are Vincent Jamal Hooper as Ellington, Elijah J. Roberts as Jalen, Renee Harrison as Candace, Famecia Ward as Nellie Gaines, and Dasan Frazier as Xavier. Behind the camera, original series director Debbie Allen, who produced 122 episodes and directed 83 during the show’s original run, returns as executive producer and will direct three episodes, including the premiere.
