Netflix’s New Superhero Series Becomes an Instant Hit
Netflix’s latest superhero series, Cashero, has quickly become a hit, capturing attention for its unusual take on superpowers. The show, which premiered on December 26, is already ranked number four on FlixPatrol’s Top 10 Netflix TV Shows chart, proving viewers are hooked.

Cashero stars 2PM member Lee Jun-ho as Kang Sang-woong, a regular civil servant who gains superhuman strength and resilience, but only when he has cash on him. Most of the time, Sang-woong has to spend his own money to power up, which leads to chaotic and entertaining moments. The show also features other characters with unusual abilities, adding to the fun and unpredictability.
The series is directed by Lee Chang-min and written by Lee Jae-in and Jeon Chan-ho. It is based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name by Lee Hoon and No Hye-ok, who are known collectively as Team Befar. Other main cast members include Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byung-chul, and Kim Hyang-gi.

Kim Hye-jun plays Kim Min-sook, Sang-woong’s fiancée, who is practical and often questions the efficiency of her boyfriend’s superpower, yet supports him above all others. Kim Hyang-gi portrays Bang Eun-mi, a young woman whose telekinetic powers grow stronger depending on how many calories she consumes. Kim Byung-chul plays Byeon Ho-in, a lawyer whose powers activate when he drinks alcohol and who leads a Korean organization for people with supernatural abilities.
The show follows Sang-woong as he teams up with his friends and allies to fight a mysterious group targeting superheroes. The mix of strange superpowers and unconventional teamwork makes the series stand out in the crowded superhero genre.
