Nintendo has released a new seven-minute trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, giving fans a first detailed look at the long-awaited action-adventure game.

The trailer highlights Samus Aran exploring the planet Viewros, using new psychic powers, and riding her high-tech motorcycle, the Vi-0-La. Players also get a glimpse of the rival bounty hunter Sylux, who first appeared in Metroid Prime Hunters.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is being developed by Retro Studios for the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2. The game was originally announced at E3 2017 and was initially developed by Bandai Namco Studios. However, Nintendo restarted development in 2019 under Retro Studios and Kensuke Tanabe, the producer behind the previous Metroid Prime games.

The game is set for release on December 4, marking 18 years since the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Fans have already shown excitement, and the game was nominated for Most Anticipated Game at the Game Awards 2024.
