New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Promo Puts Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, and Peggy Carter in the Spotlight
The marketing machine for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has officially kicked into overdrive. Over the past few weeks, Marvel has rolled out international posters, a theater PSA, and even bonus scenes in the ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ re-release. Now, a new ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ promo is giving fans a fresh look at some of the film’s most beloved heroes.
The film brings together the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Wakandans, with Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU in a brand-new role as Victor von Doom. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, it arrives exclusively in theaters on December 18.
On October 3, a fan account shared a new promo for the film featuring Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Simu Liu, and Danny Ramirez. The clip quickly circulated among Marvel fans online.
The footage is fast-paced and blurry in places, with flashes of a glowing orange ring effect and bursts of purple light hinting at chaotic action. Marvel has not formally detailed the context of the promo, so fans are still piecing together exactly what it shows.

What’s clear is the lineup. Bringing Evans, Mackie, and Atwell together in the same promotional push highlights one of the film’s most emotional threads. Evans returns as Steve Rogers, while Atwell is back as Peggy Carter. Their reunion has already been teased by Marvel, as ‘Endgame Encore’ included an extended version of the pair’s iconic dance.
Steve’s return has been a major talking point since the first teaser, which showed him riding a motorcycle up to a peaceful farm. That same footage climaxed with Steve greeting Thor and proving his identity by lifting Mjölnir with ease. There have also been hints about where his story is headed next.
Evans and Mackie have indicated that Rogers will take on the Nomad mantle, similar to his arc in the comics. Mackie returns as Sam Wilson, now the MCU’s Captain America after Steve handed him the shield. He’s joined by Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, who first appeared in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ and officially used the Falcon wingsuit in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’.

Seeing the original and current Captain America side by side is something fans have been eager for since the cast announcement. Their dynamic could become one of the film’s emotional anchors. Liu’s presence is another highlight. His appearance in ‘Doomsday’ marks Shang-Chi’s first live-action return since his 2021 debut in ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’.
Fans have waited years to see what comes next for the master martial artist, who took control of the Ten Rings in his debut film. Some viewers have already speculated that the glowing effects in the new promo could be tied to his weapons.
Excitement around the film is surging. In Mexico, Cinépolis and Cinemex opened a second wave of presales on October 2, following an initial round focused on Infinity Vision screenings. The Russo brothers have also confirmed that more surprise casting is still to come. With every new clip and poster, Marvel is steadily building anticipation for its biggest event film in years.
