New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Store Display Brings Thor, Yelena and Reed Richards Together in the Toy Aisle
Marvel’s marketing campaign for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has settled into a steady rhythm. Rather than revealing its massive ensemble all at once, the studio has been doling out character-focused artwork in waves, each new image adding another piece to the puzzle ahead of the film’s December 18 release.
Those drops have produced some intriguing pairings. Earlier promo art placed Doctor Doom alongside Thor, Captain America and Mister Fantastic, while other batches teased unexpected duos like Ant-Man and Invisible Woman, Shang-Chi and Cyclops, and Gambit and Yelena Belova.
Now another piece of promotional art has surfaced, this time in the real world. A photo shared online on October 4 shows a tall ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ display standing in a toy store aisle, featuring an ensemble of heroes beneath the film’s logo and set against Doom’s signature green glow.
The artwork appears to feature Chris Hemsworth’s Thor at the top, with The Thing and Black Panther close by. Below them are Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as Captain America, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards and Channing Tatum’s Gambit.
That lineup closely matches promotional art that surfaced months ago through merchandise retailer Cerda Group. That earlier piece confirmed a 10-character roster including Doom, Thor, Reed Richards, Captain America, Yelena Belova, The Thing, Gambit, Black Panther, Beast and Cyclops.

The display reflects the film’s core premise, with the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men uniting against Robert Downey Jr.’s villain. Notably, Thor sports short hair and a new battle suit, while Gambit and Beast appear in comic-accurate designs.
The display’s location fits the moment perfectly. The photo shows it surrounded by shelves of Marvel action figures, including Hasbro’s Titan Series products, a clear sign that the merchandising push is in full swing.
Hasbro has already unveiled a line of ‘Doomsday’ Actionverse and Titan Heroes figures. The range includes Thor, The Thing, Cyclops, Doctor Doom, a Sentinel, Beast, Captain America and The Human Torch.
One Titan Series pack brings together 11.5-inch versions of Thor, Doctor Doom and The Thing, plus a bonus Ant-Man minifigure. Another figure features Sam Wilson suiting up as Captain America.

Black Panther and Yelena have been consistent fixtures throughout the marketing. One recent promo spotlighted Doom alongside Mackie’s Captain America, Letitia Wright’s Black Panther and Pugh’s Yelena, a grouping that has appeared multiple times.
Fans have noted that Yelena’s presence across nearly every wave of promotional art suggests her role carries real weight. Another recent image focused on Sue Storm, Black Panther, Mystique and Yelena, further reinforcing her place near the center of the story. The campaign has expanded beyond toys, too. Walkers has teamed up with PepsiCo for an ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ snack promotion ahead of the release.
With roughly 2 months to go, displays like this one are becoming a regular sight in stores. They also give fans a clearer picture of which heroes will be front and center when Doom makes his move. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ arrives in theaters on December 18, with ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ following in 2027 to close out this chapter of Marvel storytelling.
