Doctor Doom is highly anticipated in the MCU, with fans long requesting his introduction to the cinematic universe. The latest rumors suggest Doom will be featured in the ‘Fantastic Four’ movie, but not as the main antagonist. Instead, he’s expected to have a minor role initially before becoming the primary villain later on.

Now, Alex Perez from Cosmic Circus shared a theory suggesting that Doctor Doom was originally intended to be a member of the Illuminati in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ This theory proposes that this was the studio’s initial concept for the character.

The Illuminati, led by Stephen Strange, formed to protect their universe from major threats, with members including Strange, Charles Xavier, Peggy Carter, Blackagar Boltagon, Maria Rambeau, and Reed Richards. Karl Mordo joined later, but after Strange’s death, Wanda Maximoff killed all members except Mordo, causing the group to disband.

As previously mentioned, the most probable movies to feature Doctor Doom are ‘Fantastic Four’ and the upcoming ‘Black Panther’ sequels. As for who might play Doctor Doom, names like Cillian Murphy and Mads Mikkelsen have been suggested, with Cillian being a fan favorite.
