HBO has revealed more of the young cast for its upcoming Harry Potter TV series, giving fans a first look at the students of Hogwarts. The series, set to premiere in early 2027, has now confirmed new actors for all four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. The network shared images of the young cast wearing their house colors to introduce them to viewers.

Gryffindor’s new additions include Eire Farrell as Katie Bell, Asha Soetan as Angelina Johnson, Orson Matthews as Oliver Wood, Serrana Su-Ling Bliss as Alicia Spinnet, and Ethan Smith as Lee Jordan.

Several of these characters are part of the Gryffindor quidditch team that Harry joins in his first year. They join previously announced cast members Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, and others including Fred and George Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Percy Weasley, and more.

Slytherin also has new faces. Eddison Burch plays Miles Bletchley, James Dowll is Lucian Bole, Oliver Croft takes on Marcus Flint, Dylan Heath is Adrian Pucey, Henry Medhurst plays Peregrine Derrick, Cornelius Brandreth is Terence Higgs, Laila Barwick takes on Pansy Parkinson, and D’angelou Osei-Kissiedu is Graham Montague. They join the previously confirmed Slytherin students, including Draco Malfoy, Vincent Crabbe, and Gregory Goyle.

Hufflepuff’s cast has been expanded with India Moon as Hannah Abbott, Jazmyn Lewin as Susan Bones, Cian Eagle-Service as Ernie Macmillan, and James Trevelyan Buckle as Justin Finch-Fletchley. These students will be guided by Sirine Saba as Pomona Sprout, head of Hufflepuff House.

For Ravenclaw, Aaron Zhao plays Terry Boot, Eve Walls is Lisa Turpin, Scarlett Archer takes on Penelope Clearwater, and Anjula Murali is Padma Patil. Warwick Davis, returning from the Harry Potter movies, will play Filius Flitwick, head of Ravenclaw House and professor of charms.

HBO executive Casey Bloys said that writing for season 2 has already begun. “We want to avoid massive gaps between seasons,” he added, indicating the network plans to keep the story moving quickly. Season 1 will adapt the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, over eight episodes. Filming has been underway since summer 2025, and while HBO has released some official set photos, fans are still waiting for full footage and new stills.

Expanding the cast with these new actors is an exciting move. It gives the Hogwarts world a fresh look while staying true to the story. Seeing familiar characters brought to life by a new generation of actors will be interesting for fans. What do you think about the new cast for Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw?
