The story picks up a year after the first season, with Percy returning to Camp Half-Blood to find it under threat from Kronos’ forces.

His friend Grover has gone missing, and Percy must journey into the Sea of Monsters to recover the Golden Fleece.

The series was officially renewed for a second season in February 2024, and even before the second season airs, Disney+ confirmed a third season in March, which will adapt the next book, The Titan’s Curse.

Albert Kim was announced as a new executive producer for the second season in April 2024. According to sources, writing for season two began as early as March 2023, while work on season three started in late February of this year.

Filming for the second season started on August 1, 2024, in Vancouver and wrapped up on January 31. Disney+ released images showing the main characters, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.

The show will also continue to explore the characters in more depth, including a closer look at Chiron’s disability in future seasons. Season two promises to expand the world of Camp Half-Blood and bring the thrilling adventures of Rick Riordan’s novels to life once again.
