A new image from “The Punisher: One Last Kill” has been released, giving fans another look at the upcoming Marvel project. The preview was shared by ScreenRant, offering an early glimpse at what to expect from the special.

The show is being made for Disney+ and is part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will be one of the special presentations connected to the ongoing Marvel story. The project is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who also worked on the script with Jon Bernthal.

Bernthal returns as Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher. He first played the role in the earlier series The Punisher and later appeared again in Daredevil: Born Again. This new story continues his journey but takes a slightly different direction.

In the upcoming special, Frank Castle is trying to move away from violence and leave his past behind. However, things do not go as planned, and he finds himself pulled back into trouble. The story focuses on his struggle to live a normal life while dealing with new threats.

Alongside Bernthal, Jason R. Moore returns as Curtis Hoyle, a close friend of Castle. The cast also includes several new and returning characters connected to Castle’s past, including members of his military team.

The project was developed after Bernthal joined Daredevil: Born Again. During production of that series, the idea for a standalone special centered on the Punisher started to take shape. Marvel Studios later confirmed the project, and filming took place in New York City over a short period in mid-2025.

The title was officially announced in early 2026 along with its release date. “The Punisher: One Last Kill” is set to premiere on May 12, as part of Phase Six of the MCU.

This looks like a strong return for the character. The idea of Frank Castle trying to change his life but being forced back into conflict sounds interesting and emotional. It could give the story more depth than just action. What do you think about this new look at The Punisher? Are you excited to see Jon Bernthal return in this role?
