New ‘Marvel Rivals’ Infinity Comic Heads to the Hellfire Gala on April 11

Marvel Comics is bringing readers back to the island of Krakoa for a brand-new adventure in the Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic. Starting April 11, a new story arc will begin — and it’s all about the Hellfire Gala, one of the biggest events in the X-Men world.

This new comic ties in with Season 2 of Marvel Rivals, the team-based video game, and features lots of action, stylish looks, and even a special reward. Marvel says, “The celebration has been crashed by an army of Ultron sentries, and it’s up to the partygoers to save the island!”

The comic is written by Paul Allor and drawn by Luca Claretti, Daniel Scalisi, and Ig Guara. A new chapter will come out every Thursday on the Marvel Unlimited app.

“WELCOME TO THE HELLFIRE GALA!!!” the announcement says. “The island of Krakoa is the home nation for mutants on Earth–as well as the venue for the best party ever… the Hellfire Gala! The celebration has been crashed by an army of Ultron sentries, and it’s up to the partygoers to save the island! Leader of the mutant inhabitants, Emma Frost, spearheads the fight alongside Psylocke, Magik, and Storm! Will Krakoa prevail in saving itself from robotic dominion, or will its guests fail to help their mutant allies? And WHERE is Ultron???”

Fans who read the comic will also get a fun in-game reward — a special skin for The Thing in Marvel Rivals. Marvel shared, “Readers can also receive a special in-game skin for their favorite ever-lovin’ blue-eyed character: the Thing!”

Starting April 25, all paid Marvel Unlimited subscribers will get the skin through the app and email. If you’re not a subscriber yet, you can sign up and use the code THING50 to get 50% off your first two months. Just make sure to subscribe by April 16 to get the skin!

This new comic is part of Marvel’s Infinity Comics, a digital-only series made for phones and tablets. These comics are only available on the Marvel Unlimited app. Since launching in 2021, Marvel has released over 1,000 Infinity Comics from more than 300 Marvel creators.
