New ‘My Adventures With Green Lantern’ Character Details Revealed With Latest Reports

There’s a new animated show coming called My Adventures With Green Lantern. It’s connected to the earlier series My Adventures With Superman, but this time it follows a different hero.

The story focuses on Jessica Cruz, a regular high school girl whose life changes completely when a Green Lantern Power Ring falls from the sky and chooses her. Suddenly, she becomes a champion, but that’s just the start of her problems.

Pieces of an old space war involving the Green Lanterns start arriving on Earth, bringing dangerous alien enemies along with them.

The show was first announced in early 2025, as part of a group of new DC projects. A recent report from Nexus Point News revealed more about some of the characters who will be in the series.

Two characters named Kyle and Nikki have been confirmed, and it turns out they are Kyle Rayner and Nikki Jones. Kyle’s role in the story is still a mystery, but he will be Jessica’s love interest. The setting for the show is Coast City, where Jessica and her friends go to Hal Jordan High School. It’s unclear if Hal Jordan himself will appear in this version of the story. Like My Adventures With Superman, this new show will have a style inspired by Sailor Moon, with Jessica’s costume reflecting that look.

Nikki is described as a confident goth girl who doesn’t care what others think of her. She’s Jessica’s best friend and very protective of her, maybe even a little too much. Fans of the comics might recognize Nikki as an updated version of Nicki Jones, who later becomes a character named Jade in the comics. Nikki Jones was first introduced back in 2007 in the comic 52, and was created by several well-known writers and artists like Geoff Johns and Grant Morrison.

Another character named Alex DeWitt will also appear. She’s the popular girl at school, a softball star, and comes from a family involved in politics. In the comics, Alex was Kyle Rayner’s first love, but her story was tragic. She was famously killed in a shocking event that fans still remember.

Then there’s Kilowog, who is a big part of the Green Lantern world. In this show, Kilowog is a warrior monk and the last surviving Green Lantern. He used to serve proudly with the others, but something happened that caused the Green Lantern Corps to collapse. Now, Kilowog acts as a mentor to Jessica, helping her learn how to be a Lantern. Kilowog’s history goes way back in the comics, including losing his home planet during a huge event called Crisis on Infinite Earths.

The exact date when My Adventures With Green Lantern will come out hasn’t been announced yet, but fans are already excited to see this new take on the Green Lantern story.
