Thanks to Chris Hemsworth’s charisma, Thor quickly became one of the MCU’s most popular characters. On top of that, he is also one of the MCU’s most important characters, so there is no doubt about his status.

And while many characters from the original Avengers have moved on in one way or another, Thor is still there and it seems that he has a bright future ahead, despite the fact that he has already gotten more solo movies than any other MCU hero.

Namely, a new rumor claims that Thor will keep playing an important role in the MCU and we have all the details.

The source of the rumor is Daniel Richtman, who shared it via his Patreon account. Richtman has a solid track record, so his rumors usually have some importance, which is why we often share them.

So, what is he claiming? Well, according to the latest rumor, Marvel has officially greenlit Thor 5, which means that Thor will become the first MCU hero with five solo films. This movie has been talked about for some time now, and if this rumor proves to be true, then this would truly be a great thing for Hemstworth’s character.

Thor has so many interesting stories, so we are sure that Marvel won’t suffer from a lack of material to adapt.

As for the production, it has been speculated whether Taika Waititi, who had an extremely successful outing with Ragnarok as well as a flop with Love and Thunder, would return to complete his trilogy, but Richtman claims that this won’t be the case, i.e., that Marvel will be looking for a new director.

Of course, take this rumor with a grain of salt until Marvel officially confirms it, but this definitely opens up a lot of interesting possibilities going forward.
