New ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Star Confirm to Appear In ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’
Sadie Sink, who was recently cast in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is creating a lot of excitement among fans. The young actress, known for her role in Stranger Things, joined the film earlier this year amid speculation that she might play the X-Men character Jean Grey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Deadline, Sink is also set to appear in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars, the follow-up to Avengers: Doomsday. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
Deadline reports, “There has been much speculation about the role Sink has in the Spidey film, and frankly, I do not know the answer, but I do know that she’ll join the cast of the next Avengers picture that shoots here in London later in 2026.”
While Sink’s role in Doomsday, which is set to release next December, hasn’t been confirmed, her involvement in the next big Avengers film is now official. Marvel Studios first announced Avengers: Secret Wars at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, with Jonathan Waldron writing the script.
The Russo brothers are set to direct and produce through AGBO, with Stephen McFeely also joining as a writer. Ciaran Downey has been cast as Doctor Doom.
Filming for Secret Wars is expected to start in mid-2026 at Pinewood Studios in England and last around six months. The movie is set to release on December 17, 2027, and the main cast of the Fantastic Four will return from Doomsday.
This news shows that Marvel continues to weave new characters into the MCU while building toward its next big crossover event. Sadie Sink’s addition is bound to generate buzz and speculation among fans. Personally, I’m excited to see what she brings to the MCU and how her character will fit into the larger story.
