Amazon Prime Video is moving forward with its live-action Tomb Raider series, and the cast is starting to take shape.

Sophie Turner is already confirmed to play the iconic role of Lara Croft. Now, Variety reports that British actor Martin Bobb-Semple has joined the project in a major role as a series regular.

The series has been in development since early 2023 and was officially approved in May 2024. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is leading the project as creator, writer, and executive producer. She is joined by Chad Hodge as co-showrunner and executive producer, while Jonathan van Tulleken will direct and also serve as executive producer.

Filming is scheduled to start on January 19.

Bobb-Semple is best known for his role as Orlando “Lando” Johnson on The CW’s All American: Homecoming. He began as a recurring character and was later promoted to a series lead in season 3.

He has also starred in Peacock’s One of Us is Lying and led Netflix’s Free Reign. His acting career began in London’s West End, and he trained at the Identity School of Acting before landing his first television role with the BBC.
