Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is getting closer to its big release, and fans finally have a brand-new trailer to dive into.
Directed and written by Rian Johnson, the mystery movie marks the third film in the Knives Out series and follows 2022’s Glass Onion. Daniel Craig is back once again as detective Benoit Blanc, ready to crack another case.

The film features a huge ensemble cast. Alongside Craig, viewers will see Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
With so many stars on board, the movie is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about projects of 2025.
Wake Up Dead Man had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, and it will hit theaters on November 26 before streaming on Netflix on December 12. The movie is also set for an international premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 8.
Critics have already had their say, and the film is off to a strong start. According to Rotten Tomatoes, 95% of the first 20 reviews are positive. Over on Metacritic, it holds a score of 82 out of 100, which the site describes as “universal acclaim.”
Daniel Craig was expected to return as Benoit Blanc early in development, and he has spoken about how much he enjoys playing the role. According to Variety, Craig was paid $100 million for his involvement in the Knives Out sequels.
In 2024, the casting announcements kept rolling in, bringing in big names like O’Connor, Spaeny, Scott, Washington, Close, Renner, Kunis, and McCormack. A month later, Brolin and Haden Church joined as well.
The movie takes place in a small town setting, where a mix of priests, townsfolk, and mysterious figures cross paths. Craig’s Benoit Blanc will once again be at the center, unraveling secrets and exposing lies.
