Bryana Holly, the wife of actor Nicholas Hoult, recently addressed a wave of body-shaming directed at her following a high-profile appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. The 32-year-old model chose to speak out after social media users began criticizing her physical appearance in a sequined black Lurelly gown.

The dress featured a plunging neckline that became the focal point for many unsolicited and negative remarks online. Holly, who attended the prestigious Sunday night event alongside her 36-year-old partner, took to her Instagram Stories to provide some blunt context regarding her body.

“I am seeing the comments around my chest,” she began in her social media post. “This is the product of a breastfeeding mother who hasn’t fed her babies in hours ok! If you know then you know. You are not owed an explanation.”

The couple, who have been romantically linked since 2017, are parents to an eight-year-old son named Joaquin and a younger child born in late 2022. While they are known for being fiercely protective of their children’s privacy, Hoult has occasionally shared insights into the realities of their home life.

In past discussions about fatherhood, the actor has been candid about the physical and emotional toll of raising a young family. “The levels of tiredness are extreme,” Hoult previously remarked to the Evening Standard.

He emphasized that while the exhaustion is significant, the rewards of being a parent far exceed the challenges. “No one warns you about it! But the level of love that comes with it outweighs everything. It’s phenomenal. I’m loving it,” he added during the same interview.

Hoult also reflected on the rapid development of his children and how that growth impacts his own perspective on life. “(Children) change so much, every day is different. It fills you up as a human completely,” he noted.

The actor’s journey in the spotlight began at the age of 11 when he starred in the acclaimed film About a Boy alongside Hugh Grant. During a recent appearance at the Red Sea Film Festival, Hoult recalled the warnings he received about the potential pitfalls of child stardom.

“There was this fear sitting after that because everyone then, even as a kid, everyone talks to you about how child actors stop working, their life goes off the rails, and it doesn’t work out as an adult,” he explained. Despite these warnings, he remained committed to his craft while remaining cautious about his future in the industry.

“You have this fear of what’s to come, but even then, I knew I wanted to continue doing it. I was also slightly guarded about it, I suppose, because I was like, there’s a good chance this doesn’t work out,” Hoult admitted. He credited his stable upbringing for helping him navigate the transition into adult acting roles.

He specifically praised his parents for maintaining a sense of normalcy by ensuring he attended a regular school without any pressure to succeed. Additionally, he cited Hugh Grant as a pivotal early influence who taught him how to behave professionally on a movie set.

Since his breakout as a child, Hoult has cultivated a diverse filmography ranging from the cult series Skins to blockbuster franchises like X-Men. He has also earned critical praise for his work in dark comedies and historical dramas such as The Menu and The Great.

Hoult is also known for his role in Robert Eggers’ reimagining of Nosferatu. and James Gunn’s Superman, where he has taken on the iconic role of the villainous Lex Luthor.
