Nickelodeon Powers Up: ‘The Thundermans’ Franchise Gears Up for Expansion
Nickelodeon is set to expand The Thundermans universe with a brand-new movie called Clash of the Thundermans. This announcement comes after the success of The Thundermans Return movie and the series The Thundermans: Undercover.
According to official sources, Clash of the Thundermans will premiere simultaneously on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ sometime in 2026. Filming is scheduled to begin in Vancouver on July 31.
The movie will bring back many familiar faces like Kira Kosarin as Phoebe Thunderman, Jack Griffo as Max Thunderman, Maya Le Clark as Chloe Thunderman, Addison Riecke as Nora Thunderman, Diego Velázquez as Billy Thunderman, Chris Tallman as Hank Thunderman, and Rosa Blasi as Barb Thunderman.
Ariel Winter, known for her roles in Modern Family and Sofia the First, will join the cast as a new character named Cognita.
The Thundermans originally aired on Nickelodeon from 2013 to 2018 and was created by Jed Spingarn. The show featured the superhero family and starred many of the actors returning for the new projects. Dana Snyder also provided the voice for the character Dr. Colosso.
Earlier in 2023, Nickelodeon announced The Thundermans Return, a follow-up film featuring the main cast. Filming for that movie started in Los Angeles in April 2023, and the film was released on March 7, 2024, on both Nickelodeon and Paramount+, as confirmed by official reports.
Sources close to the production shared these updates, showing that Nickelodeon is continuing to invest in The Thundermans franchise to keep fans excited with fresh stories and new adventures.
