Nintendo just wrapped up its latest Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, giving fans about 25 minutes packed with updates on upcoming third-party games for both the Switch 2 and the current Switch. From exciting new titles to surprise announcements, here’s a full rundown of everything revealed during the presentation.

1. Octopath Traveler 0

A new Octopath Traveler game is on the way, once again featuring Square Enix’s signature HD-2D art style seen in the first two entries. Expect classic turn-based battles, rich JRPG-style exploration, and even a town you can build yourself. Octopath Traveler 0 launches on both Switch 2 and Switch on December 4.

2. The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Takes

The Adventures of Elliot is a new HD-2D-style action RPG from Square Enix. You play as Elliot, an adventurer from the magically protected Kingdom of Huther, who ventures into dangerous lands to explore mysterious ruins.

Unlike turn-based RPGs like Octopath Traveler, this game features real-time combat with seven weapon types, upgradeable using Magicite crystals. Elliot is joined by his fairy companion Faie, who can fight alongside him or be controlled by a second player in co-op. There’s no release date yet, but a free demo is available today, along with a post-play survey for feedback.

3. Goodnight Universe

During today’s Nintendo Direct Sizzle Reel, it was announced that Goodnight Universe will launch on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on November 11, 2025.

4. NBA Bounce

This basketball game lets you pick from 30 NBA teams, play on themed courts with mascots and crowds, and unlock jerseys, sneakers, and more as you progress from rookie to pro. You can play solo or co-op in modes like Training, Full Season, and Party Mode, with easy controls for a fun, fast-paced experience. The game releases on September 26th on Switch.

5. Hello Kitty Island Adventure – Wheatflour Wonderland

The Wheatflour Wonderland DLC for Hello Kitty Island Adventure launches in Fall 2025 on Nintendo Switch, introducing the new Sanrio character Cogimyun. Players can craft magical wands, uncover gemstone secrets, and explore a whimsical new world with Hello Kitty.

6. Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven is an RPG set in the Kingdom of Avalon where players battle the Seven Heroes. Game8 offers a full walkthrough and guides covering the story, tips, side quests, formations, gear, classes, abilities, bosses, materials, and locations.

The game is out TODAY on Switch 2.

7. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance launches August 29 on PC, consoles, and Switch (including Switch 2). Developed by the team behind Streets of Rage 4 and produced by SEGA, it blends classic 1980s Shinobi action with modern animation and metroidvania-style exploration. Players control series hero Joe Musashi, battling through fast-paced 2D levels filled with slashing combat and wall-jumping.

8. Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4 arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 3, 2025, taking players to the perilous planet of Kairos. Expect chaotic combat, tons of loot, and new movement abilities like gliding, dodging, and grappling.

9. Yakuza Kiwami

Both Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 13th. These versions will have better graphics and smoother gameplay. Fans can also expect all the wild, exciting moments that make the Yakuza series so popular.

10. Cronos: The New Dawn

Bloober Team’s horror game Cronos: The New Dawn is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. If you like scary games and want to play them on the go, this version is perfect for you. It will be released on September 5th.

11. Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft has announced that Star Wars Outlaws will release on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4th, this autumn. The game is already available on other platforms like Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and more. However, it received mixed reviews.

12. Hela

Hela is a charming game about a kind witch who’s fallen ill, and her brave mice familiars who must find a cure while keeping her magic alive. It’s coming to Switch 2 in 2026.

13. Apex Legends

Apex Legends, the popular battle royale hero shooter, is coming to the Switch 2. The game will include both its main Battle Royale mode and the Mixtape mode. On the Switch 2, players can expect better graphics with higher resolution and smoother gameplay. The release date is August 5th.

14. Chillin’ by the Fire

Chillin’ by the Fire might be a nice change of pace is a relaxing game where you build and take care of a campfire. You place logs, keep the fire burning, and make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s a calm, cozy experience, perfect for unwinding. The game will be out later today on Switch 2.

15. Madden NFL 26

Next up is Madden NFL 26 for Switch 2, which Nintendo calls “the most dynamic Madden game yet.” It’s Madden football, so you know what to expect. The game will launch on Switch 2 on August 14th.

16. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Nintendo then revealed gameplay footage for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, showcasing the series’ trademark fast-paced hack-and-slash action. The preview also included a fun tease featuring a theme from a certain Skyward Sword character. However, there’s still no release date announced.

17. Persona 3 Reload

The Nintendo Switch was a great platform for Persona games, and its successor, the Switch 2, is continuing the trend with Persona 3 Reload launching on October 23. Reload is a full remake of the 2006 Persona 3, praised for its stunning visuals and stylish design. While the game is known for being both influential and a bit repetitive, fans of the series are eager to dive into this updated version.

18. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles

Next up, we get another look at Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, a remastered version of the classic 1997 strategy RPG. This edition features brand-new voice acting and more. It’s set to release on September 30th for both Switch 2 and Switch.

19. Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac

Following in the footsteps of Pac-Man World Re-Pac, Bandai Namco is remaking Pac-Man World 2. This updated version features improved graphics, smoother gameplay, local co-op, and more. You’ll be able to play it on Switch 2 and Switch starting September 26th.

20. EA Sports FC 26

EA Sports FC 26, the newest game in the series formerly known as FIFA, is coming to Nintendo platforms on September 26th. Football fans have something to look forward to!

21. Plants vs. Zombies

Plants vs. Zombies Replanted, the latest entry in EA’s tower defense series, is coming to Switch 2 and Switch on October 23rd. It features local co-op and player-versus-player modes.

22. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the newest game in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, will release on Switch 2 and Switch on November 14th. It’s perfect for fans of fast-paced anime fighting games.

23. Just Dance 2026 Edition

Just Dance 2026 Edition is coming to Switch on October 14th, featuring 40 new songs including hits from ROSÉ & Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa, OneRepublic, Madonna, and Smash Mouth. Fans can expect the same fun dance gameplay the series is known for, packed with popular pop tracks.

24. Once Upon a Katamari

The King of All Cosmos is back in Once Upon a Katamari, a lively celebration of the Katamari series, releasing on Switch on October 24th. This game won’t be coming to Switch 2.

25. Monster Hunter Stories 3

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, a new turn-based RPG with the series’ signature anime-style art, is coming to Switch 2 next year.
