Nope: Universal Pictures Releases Final Trailer For Jordan Peele’s Social Thriller

Universal Pictures released the final trailer for Nope, a social thriller coming from the Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele, who brought us great movies like Get Out and Us.

Peele is best known for his movie Get Out starring Daniel Kaluuya. He won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for that movie, and the movie was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor (Kaluuya). Peele also produced Spike Lee’s movie BlacKkKlansman, which was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture. In 2019, Peele directed his second feature film, Us, which also received critical acclaim.

Now, Peele wrote and directed Nope, his third feature film as a director. Daniel Kaluuya is starring in the movie, working with Peele again, and additional stars include Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Michael Wincott, Brandon Perea, and Barbie Ferreira. Not much is known about the movie beyond the title and its cast and crew. Universal Pictures now revealed the final trailer ahead of the release next month, check it out below:

“Oscar® winner Jordan Peele disrupted and redefined modern horror with Get Out and then Us. Now, he reimagines the summer movie with a new pop nightmare: the expansive horror epic, Nope. The film reunites Peele with Oscar® winner Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out, Judas and the Black Messiah), who is joined by Keke Palmer (Hustlers, Alice) and Oscar® nominee Steven Yeun (Minari, Okja) as residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.” — Nope, official description

Nope is set to be released on July 22, 2022. Will this movie be another chance for Peele (or Kaluuya) to grab one more Golden Statue?
