Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele is getting ready to release his newest film — Nope — next July. And now, Universal Pictures released the official trailer ahead of Super Bowl LVI.

Peele is best known for his movie Get Out starring Daniel Kaluuya. Peele won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and the movie was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor (Kaluuya). Peele also produced Spike Lee’s movie BlacKkKlansman, which was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Now, Peele wrote and directed Nope. Daniel Kaluuya is starring in the movie, working with Peele again, and additional stars include Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Michael Wincott, Brandon Perea, and Barbie Ferreira. Not much is known about the movie beyond the title and its cast and crew.

“I have four other social thrillers that I want to unveil in the next decade. The best and scariest monsters in the world are human beings and what we are capable of especially when we get together. I’ve been working on these premises about these different social demons, these innately human monsters that are woven into the fabric of how we think and how we interact, and each one of my movies is going to be about a different one of these social demons.” — Jordan Peele for Insider

Nope is set to be released on July 22, 2022. Will this movie be another chance for Peele (or Kaluuya) to grab one more Golden Statue?
