In a caption posted beneath new behind the scenes photos shared on Instagram, Reedus admitted it was really hard to choose which images to leave out now that he was finally going through them after returning from a trip to Mongolia. He praised the crew as the best he had ever worked with and said the feeling of accomplishment once the season wrapped was amazing.
The emotion did not come out of nowhere. Back in October, while teasing the new season at New York Comic Con, McBride suggested the final run was shaping up to be even better than Season 3, while Reedus signaled the cast and crew were firing on all cylinders during production.
