The Tucson-born actress, now 25, went from being a recognizable face on ‘Superman & Lois’ to one of the most talked-about stars in Hollywood. ‘Obsession’ became a genuine box office phenomenon after Focus Features acquired it out of the Toronto International Film Festival, and the studio has since launched an awards campaign for her performance. The photos show Navarrette soaking up the sun outdoors beneath a string of patio lights. She wears a black ribbed tank top, layered gold necklaces, and a bracelet, paired with red floral bottoms, with her hair pulled back into a sleek style.
In the first shot, she playfully holds up a second pair of sunglasses while already wearing oversized shades, and in the second, she tilts her head toward the camera for a relaxed, low-angle selfie. The replies were quickly filled with enthusiastic reactions, including one fan who bluntly declared they were fully into the look.

Navarrette’s comfort in front of a phone camera shouldn’t come as a surprise. Before ‘Obsession’ made her a household name, she streamed ‘Call of Duty’ on Twitch between acting gigs, and old clips of her building her own custom PC from tutorials have resurfaced and gone viral.

Of course, all that attention cuts both ways. Navarrette appeared on ‘Hot Ones Versus’ with co-star Michael Johnston on September 8, and her enthusiastic reactions in one clip led some critics to label her a “pick me,” while a separate TikTok with musician Malcolm Todd, set to his song ‘Obsessica’, drew more backlash.
The criticism has sparked a wider debate over whether the label unfairly targets expressive women. She also faced accusations of being ungrateful after a video from Fanatics Fest in New York showed her accepting a rare copy of ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ from a fan without appearing to thank them.
Whatever the online chatter, her career momentum shows no signs of slowing. Navarrette has been cast as Rogue in Marvel’s untitled ‘X-Men’ reboot, which has a planned 2028 release, and she filmed a lead role in the horror film ‘Invertigo’ after the festival premiere of ‘Obsession’.
