Prime Video’s ‘Off Campus’ has become one of the streamer’s biggest breakout hits. Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novels, the college hockey romance premiered in May and drew 36 million viewers in its first 12 days.

That launch made it the 3rd most-watched series debut in Prime Video’s history, behind only ‘The Rings of Power’ and ‘Fallout’. The first season adapted ‘The Deal’, following Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells, played by Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright.

Fans now know when they can return to Briar University. As DiscussingFilm shared, ‘Off Campus’ Season 2 will be released on April 28, 2027. Prime Video announced the date in a video starring Stephen Kalyn and Mika Abdalla. According to Seat42F, the new season premieres on a Wednesday and will be available in more than 240 countries and territories.

This time, the story shifts to a new couple. Season 2 centers on the romance between Dean Di Laurentis, played by Kalyn, and Allie Hayes, played by Abdalla. Interestingly, the new season adapts ‘The Score’, the 3rd book in Kennedy’s series, rather than the 2nd novel, ‘The Mistake’.

Series creator Louisa Levy has said she’s excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as the season’s main romance, and she has plans for the first 4 books. The Season 1 finale set up some drama for the pair. Allie hooked up with Hunter Davenport, giving Dean a new rival heading into Season 2.

Bright and Cameli return as series regulars, joined by Antonio Cipriano and Jalen Thomas Brooks. Charlie Evans comes back as Hunter, while Khobe Clarke, Julia Sarah Stone and Miles Gutierrez-Riley also return in recurring roles.

The season adds several new faces as well. India Fowler joins as series regular Grace Ivers, the love interest of John Logan, while Phillipa Soo plays Scarlett and Shay Rudolph guest stars as Summer, Dean’s sister.

Not every Season 1 regular is coming back. Yahoo reports that Josh Heuston, who played Justin Kohl, is the only series regular not returning. Levy has said she would not rule out bringing Justin back at some point. For now, his absence makes room for the new characters joining the story.

Levy created the series and serves as co-showrunner alongside Gina Fattore. Executive producers include Leanna Billings and Neal Flaherty, along with Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman of Temple Hill.

Season 1 ran 8 episodes, though Prime Video hasn’t yet revealed how many episodes Season 2 will have or how they’ll roll out. A 3rd season has not been ordered yet, but Kennedy has written 5 novels plus several spinoffs, leaving plenty of material.

Kalyn’s star has risen quickly since the show’s debut. He has also been filming Lionsgate’s ‘The Housemaid’s Secret’ alongside Sydney Sweeney, in which he plays Brock, Millie’s new love interest.

With Dean now stepping into the spotlight on ‘Off Campus’, Kalyn is set to lead one of Prime Video’s most-watched romances. Abdalla has said the second season should feel a lot less stressful this time around.

With the premiere date set and the cast confirmed, fans have a clear countdown to Season 2. The shift to Dean and Allie gives the series a fresh romance while keeping familiar faces from Briar’s hockey world.
